UPCOMING BOARD MEETING – THURSDAY, JANUARY 26th

The first Board of Governors meeting for 2012 will be at JJ’s Restaurant in O’Fallon on January 26th. As always plan to arrive around 6:30. We’ll order off the menu and have separate checks. At 7:30 the guys will have their meeting and the Ladies will play Bunko. The food is always good and reasonably priced! Our Board Meetings are where you’ll find out what’s going on in the Shrine Club and with the Temple. Remember – we always include our Ladies.

INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2012

The Installation of Officers will be held on our regular Dinner Meeting night - Thursday, February 2nd. Instead of going to a restaurant we have decided to have our Installation at Moolah Temple in the Gateway 500 Room. I had sent out an e-mail to save the date for Friday, Feb 3rd but Potentate Andy asked us to keep our installation on Thursday and he is waiving the temple fee so we can keep the Thursday date. So we went from Thursday – to Friday – and back to Thursday. Sorry for the confusion. The details are in the flyer included in this newsletter.

DUES ARE DUE

If your dues card is not stapled inside your newsletter – then we have not received your dues. Daniel Boone dues are still only $15.00!!! Make your check payable to Daniel Boone Shrine Club, and mail it to: Daniel Boone Shrine Club, P O Box 476, St. Peters, MO 63376-0008; or just bring it to the next dinner meeting. If you did receive your dues card – then Thank You for being prompt.

MOOLAH SHRINE CIRCUS, MARCH 29th – APRIL 1st:

  • Circus Tickets are available, and every member needs to sell “at least” 2 books to help the Circus. Contact Bob Holscher at 636-240-8552 if you don’t have your tickets yet. Ticket prices are the same as the last few years, general Admission for $12, and reserved Seats are available from the Moolah Office for $17, $27, and $35.

  • Circus yard signs, bumper stickers, posters, and children’s coupons are available in the Moolah office. Or let us know what you need and we’ll bring them to the Board Meeting.

  • Novelty Booth – Daniel Boone will have a booth at the circus again this year selling Novelties. There are 8 Circus performances, and we need 3 to 4 Nobel’s and Ladies at every performance to operate the booth. Contact Bob at 636-240-8552 to sign up to work!

BOARD & DINNER MEETINGS – WHERE OUR LADIES ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

Dinner Meetings are held on the “FIRST” Thursday of the month at various restaurants in St. Charles, St. Peters, and O’Fallon. This is a social evening that is open to all Shriners and their Ladies. We don’t conduct any business, but we will have a few announcements. Arrive around 6:30 for a social and we’ll order dinner around 7:00. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Board of Directors’ Meetings are held on the “LAST” Thursday of the month at JJ’s Restaurant in O’Fallon. This is where we conduct the business of the Shrine Club. We start at 6:30 with a social and dinner, and at 7:30 the men have a meeting and the Ladies play bunko. This meeting is open to all Shriners, Potential Shriners, and their Ladies. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

UPCOMING MOOLAH TEMPLE EVENTS

We are organizing tables for the Potentate’s Installation Ball on February 11th. Potentate Andy and his Lady Mindi have a fantastic evening planned. All the details are in the Camel’s Tales! Our sympathy and prayers go out to any of our members who are experiencing concerns. If you are experiencing concerns these days, or know of someone who is - please let us know!
We also like to hear about “joys” too. If you or a member of your family has something to celebrate – we would like to know about that too.

  • March 24th Circus Parade in Old Town St. Charles. Line up at 11:00, Parade at Noon. If you are planning to ride the Prairie Schooner call Bob Holscher at 636-240-8552.

  • March 24th Circus Kick-off starts immediately following the Circus Parade at Moolah Temple. We need help manning our booth. Ladies are welcome to help! Let Bob Holscher know if you can work a shift or two.

  • Mar 29 - Apr 1 Shrine Circus at the Family Arena. Check the Camel’s tales for all the details.
